Carol Service in Stradbally

On the 19th of December 2010 at 7.00pm there was a Carol Service in St. James Church, Stradbally. The three schools in the parish took part and the children in St. James made lovely decorations on the Christmas Tree. The first school to begin was St. James as they sang a song called “O Little Town Of Bethlehem” and performed their nativity play called “Should The Innkeeper Be In The Stable?” Then Scoil Na Croise Naofa sang “Glory To The Lord” with Jake and Nick  singing a solo each. Immediately after that Brendan  and Padraig read a reading. Last but not least Our Lady Of Mercy N.S sang “Away In A Manger” and Rebekah  read a reading. There were carols like: The First Noel, Silent Night, While Shepherds Watch. The church was beautifully decorated and afterwards we went to the school for cakes and tea. It was really lovely.
