St. Declan's Community College Kilmacthomas Open Night

In January there was an open night in Kilmacthomas. All the mentors and teachers were there to help out. Rebekah, Kayleigh and Katelynn went to it from this school. We  got a tour of the whole school and spoke to all the teachers about the subjects they teach. In the biology lab they were dissecting lamb's heart, in the art room they were drawing and painting, in the computer room they were making a compass on the computer, in the metal work room they were making things from metal (which made a lot of noise), and lots more things. In the gym we were shown a tape about the school and all the subjects and people sang songs like an acoustic version of Taio Cruz's Dynamite and played some instruments. The children got a carton of orange juice and a bar. The entrance exam is on the 5th of March 2011. I am excited to be going to St. Declan’s Community College.
