World Book Day 2011 In Stradbally

On the 3rd of March it was world book day. This day is to think about books and how important reading is. In the senior classes we had a raffle. Chloe won the raffle for a big scientific book, which looks very expensive. It was given to the school from Easons book shop in Dungarvan. There were also little books given to the school by Easons Dungarvan, and we raffled them too. Taylor, Rachael, Sheena, Emily, Tara, Kayleigh, Áine, Rebekah and Anna were lucky and got them. There were also little vouchers for book shops. There were €1.50 spending money on them. Anna and Sarah also got a €5 voucher for Easons!

In Mrs. Crowley's class some of the children dressed up as Mr. Men book characters. They dressed up as Mr. Happy, Mr. Noisy, Mrs. Super Women, and Little Miss Giggles, the costumes were very colourful and bright. Mrs. Crowley also asked them to bring in their own books and at break time some of the juniors had some books outside because it was such a nice, sunny day and they were reading them out on our lovely new soft play!
